Jerry R. Adams, Jr., passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025 at UPMC Hamot.

He was born on March 5, 1961 in Erie, the son of Diana Beezub Adams and the late Jerry R. Adams, Sr.  "Buddy" as he was know, was a dedicated and loving father, brother, "Papa" and son whose contagious smile and laughter brightened the lives of all who knew him.  Jerry had a remarkable ability to make friends wherever he went, seeming to know "just about everybody and anybody"  He was a wonderful, loyal friend who would truly do anything for anyone.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his infant son, Nicholas; his little brother, Kevin; his lifelong best friend, Ed Green; and the love of his life, Brenda Mineard.

Buddy's greatest joy was his family.  He leaves behind his loving mother, Diana Adams, his former wife, Cheryl Hetrick and three devoted children: his eldest son, Shannon Adams and his wife Mamie, his daughter, Kelly McQuaid and her husband Zach; and his youngest daughter, Nikki Smith and her husband Gary and Melissa Roberts, whom he loved as his own.  He is also survived by three siblings, Mark Adams, Sarah Adams and Keri Adams.

A proud "Papa", he will be deeply missed by his twelve grandchildren; Misty, Ariel, Trent, Ellie, Johnathan, Olivia, Trevor, Katie, Lexi, Riley, Bryce and Tiah and his three great grandchildren: Ataleigh, Maverick and Grayson.  He also leaves behind his "grand Puppy", Lila Ann.

A celebration of Life for Jerry will be held at a date and location to be determined by the family. Details will be shared by the family once arrangements are complete.
